At the age of 68,I consider myself a blessed man. Even without being aware of it at times, God has been faithful to work out His plans in my life. There have been times when I did not know just what He was up to in my life but that did not hinder His work in me and for that I am thankful. I have been involved with churches for many years and have served in various positions. My basic gifting is that of encouragement.
For a career, I owned and operated a restoration business for forty two years and have recently sold the business. I am in a new phase of life at this point. In recent months, God has put in my heart a desire to write about what He has put in my own heart. The only reason I will start this endeavor of writing is that I know that God often uses the weak and the simple and I qualify on both counts! There are two major things I want to focus on in what I write. One is about having a greater realization of what it means to be a “new creation” and the second is about discovering that the gospel is far greater than most of us realize at this point. When we begin to comprehend the truth of the gospel, it may actually seem too good to be true, but it is true indeed.
I have been married to my wonderful wife for forty four years and we have one son, three daughters and seven grandchildren. I thank God daily for His goodness and His grace. I find myself asking why it took so long to begin to see the expanse and greatness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I am convinced that the gospel is far greater than most believers have yet grasped. As I look back, I am thankful for the faithfulness and steadfastness of God as He worked out (and is working) His purposes in my life. It is my prayer that we will desire to know more of this powerful Gospel and that God will indeed respond to this desire by opening our eyes to see what great things He has done with us in mind. You are invited to join myself and others as we set our hearts to discover our true identity as sons and daughters of our Father who is in Heaven. In Him,
Buddy
