2 Corinthians 3:16-18: “but whenever a man turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. But we all, with unveiled face beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as from the Lord, the Spirit.”
What we learn from these scriptures is absolutely amazing! As long as a man depends on and trust his own mental ability to find and know wisdom and truth, he is actually blinded by a veil, as it were. Even though a man may have good intentions and may seek wisdom through higher education, he remains void of true wisdom as true wisdom is found only in the Lord. What the world system refers to as wisdom is actually foolishness as we see in 1 Corinthians 3:19: “For the wisdom of this world is foolishness in God’s sight. As it is written: ‘He catches the wise in their craftiness.’” The amazing truth is that by simply turning to the Lord, the veil that covers the heart and mind is removed. Until one turns to the Lord, the scriptures make little or no sense and appear to be irrelevant to his or her life. God’s desire, and His plan is that mankind discovers his identity and his fulfillment in Him. Whether one believes it or not, God is the only source of wisdom and He is the One who makes man complete. Any search for wisdom, identity, purpose, and completeness outside of God is done in vain. God desires that we experience life to the fullest and He has done all that was necessary for us to experience such a life. John 10:10. When knowing God is the chief desire of our heart, we can be assured that God will begin to reveal Himself to us and we will begin to be conscience of His work in us and we will experience a sense of completeness. The scriptures always bring a refreshing sense of simplicity and clarity to life. Simply by turning to the Lord, we can see. And, as just by ‘seeing’ Him, by beholding Him, we are transformed into His image! The process of being transformed into His image is a wonderful, life time process-it keeps on getting better and better. Let us not look in the wrong places; let us look unto the Lord and receive sight.
Proverbs 2:6: “For the LORD gives wisdom; From His mouth come knowledge and understanding.”
John 10:10: “The thief cometh not, but for the steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.”
