WITHOUT  EXCUSE

January 31, 2021                                     WITHOUT  EXCUSE
Romans 1:18-21 “For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, because that which is known about God is evident within them; for God made it evident to them. For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through what has been made, so that they are without excuse. For even though they knew God, they did not honor Him as God, or give thanks; but they became futile in their speculations, and their foolish heart was darkened.”
I find the above passage very interesting. God has, and continues to make Himself known. The problem is not one of not knowing, but of suppressing what is known deep within. By simply observing the creation, one must conclude that there is a God-unless they have become futile in their speculations and their heart has been darkened as a result of suppressing the truth about the existence of God. God has made it evident to all people that He is God. Those who have become futile in their speculations, give absurd explanations as to how the earth and the universe came to be; they go to great lengths trying to explain away God. If they admit that God created the universe, then they must be accountable to Him-and that is not what they want-thus they suppress the truth. Man-no matter where he or she lives, no matter their education, no matter their circumstances-must make a choice-acknowledge God, or suppress that deep awareness within them that says there is a God. Just by observing the creation of the universe and the creation of man-one can and should respond by simply honoring Him and giving thanks to Him for such awesome creations. So for, we have talked about mankind in general; but I also think there is a message here for believers as well. We may know God as Savior, but still in some ways suppress the truth that God has clearly revealed in His word, and perhaps suppress the work of the Holy Spirit within us. Just for example, we know deep within that we should prefer others over ourselves-but we may not do so; we know that God loves a cheerful giver, but we may suppress that knowledge and withhold what we could give. There is a tendency for us to acknowledge and ‘claim’ the scriptures we like, and ignore or overlook those we do not like. God has revealed Himself in His creations, but in somewhat a limited way; in order that we may learn more about Him, He has given us His word, and the Holy Spirit who helps us understand the scriptures. God looks for those whose hearts are completely His; when our hearts are fully turned to Him, rather than suppress what He says in His word, we are anxious to learn and embrace every word He has spoken. Let us make sure we are not suppressing the truth of God’s word and the promptings of His Spirit within, but let us receive with thanksgiving every word of God and let us be quick to act on what the Holy Spirit says to us. Let us be like the Bereans who received the word of God with all eagerness. Acts 17:11.
1 Thessalonians 2:13 “For this reason we also constantly thank God that when you received the word of God which you heard from us, you accepted it not as the word of men, but for what it really is, the word of God, which also performs it’s work in you who believe.”

BE  STRONG

January 27, 2021                                                BE  STRONG
Isaiah 12:2, 31 “Surely God is my salvation; I will trust and not be afraid, the Lord, the Lord Himself, is my strength and my defense; He has become my salvation.”  “but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles, they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not faint.”
1 Corinthians 16:13 “Be on your guard, stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong.”
Philippians 4:13 “I can do all things through Him who gives me strength.”
Ephesians 6:10-11 “Finally, be strong in the Lord, and in the strength of His might. Put on the full armor, that you may be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil.”
If we are to overcome all that comes against us, we must be strong in the Lord; our human strength is not sufficient for the battles we face. We encounter many circumstances and situations that would defeat us-broken relationships, financial crisis, sickness, political unrest, corruption, being persecuted for our faith, discouragement and depression, and the world system in general. We must realize that our strength, our best effort, and our determination is not enough to stand against the schemes of our enemy. The good news is that God gives us His strength for the battle; He gives us weapons for the battle. Actually, God fights for us and He is the victor. In Proverbs 21:31 we read: “The horse is made ready for the day of battle, but victory belongs to the Lord.” God gives us a part to play in defeating what comes against us; we must put on the armor of God and take up our weapons which include truth, righteousness, the gospel of God, faith, the helmet of salvation, the sword of the Spirit which is the word of God, and prayer. God is a God of compassion, mercy and grace, BUT He is also a warrior as seen in Exodus 15:3 “The Lord is a warrior; the Lord is His name.” He is the captain of the host as seen in Joshua chapter 5. God is our deliverer as seen in Psalms 59. Be assured that God desires that His children be the overcomers-not the overcome! We overcome and win the battles when we follow our Captains orders and use the weapons He has given. We must have Romans 8:31 as a bed-rock of our faith: “What then shall we say of these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?” In our day, many, including believers, are living lives ‘of quiet desperation,’ without hope, defeated by the battles of life. There is a battle going on; it is the scheme if the devil to kill and destroy, and he will use whatever he can to achieve his goal. The devil’s attacks are aimed toward defeating the plans of God; if he defeats God’s chosen ones-you and I-then he believes he has defeated God. You and I are the battle ground, and for that reason we must be on the alert and stand against the works of Satan. No matter our age or status in life, we have the strength of God available to us for any battles we face.
Psalm 46:1 “God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.”
Ephesians 6:13 “Therefore, take up the full armor of God, that you may be able to resist in the evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm.”

IT'S  IN  THE  DOING

January 24, 2021                                  IT’S IN  THE  DOING
James 1:22 “But prove yourselves doers of the word, not just hearers who deceive themselves.”
1 Timothy 4:15 “Practice these things, immerse yourself in them, so that all may see your progress.”
John 2:17 “The world and its desires pass away, but whoever does the will of God lives forever.”
Matthew 7:24 “Everyone therefore who hears these words of mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man, who built his house on a rock.”
In our culture, we put much value on knowledge. Knowledge is certainly a good thing, but knowledge without action or expression is of little or no value. There is a worldly knowledge, and there is a knowledge that comes from learning of God. The knowledge of God bears good fruit and leads to life- and that is the knowledge we must pursue if we are to experience life to the fullest. Even in Christian circles, we value and elevate those who have a great knowledge of God’s word; we are impressed with great sermons. Again, it is awesome to know God’s word, but we must be on guard against knowing His word but not living His word. We may even find ourselves feeling that since we had our devotion this morning, or listened to a sermon, we have done our spiritual duty for the day. The purpose of God’s word and the work of the Holy Spirit in us is all about transforming us in thought, word, and deed, enabling us to live life in a way that it resembles the life of Christ. There are two potential errors we must be alert too when it comes to the subject of works. One is that of believing that we are justified before God by our works or that we earn His approval by our works. The other error is to believe that because we are under the grace of God, our works do not matter. It seems that many believers have unknowingly fallen in to one of these unscriptural beliefs. One of the core truths of scripture is that our love for Him translates into keeping His commandments; because we love Him, we want to do the things that please Him. All of the commands of God are good and are life-giving; His commands are not burdensome when we love Him. It is through our works that His life in us is manifested. “For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them.” Ephesians 2:10. We are to have the mindset of looking for the good works He has for us to be about. This may sound harsh, but if we find that we are not doing the good works He has called us to do, it is a good indication that we need to examine our love for Him because of what we read in John 14:15: “If you love Me, you will keep My commandments.” No matter our age or our circumstances, there are good works we can do; even something as simple has giving a glass of water, or a kind word, can be a good work that is pleasing to our Father if it is done out of our love for Him.
Matthew 7:21 “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter.”

QUALIFIED

January 21, 2021                                          QUALIFIED
Colossians 1:9b-14 “we have not ceased to pray for you and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, so that you may walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, to please Him in all respects, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God; strengthened with all power, according to His glorious might, for the attaining of all steadfastness and patience; joyously giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified us to share in the inheritance of the saints in light. For He delivered us from the domain of darkness, and transferred to the kingdom of His beloved Son, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.”
We could spend a life time digesting the truth and the promises of this passage of scripture. Sometimes we may read a section of the scriptures so quickly, or with the thought that we already know what it is saying, that we are not impacted with what we read. I also think that we sometimes forget that the Christian life is a super-natural life, and that we have been made new and have been given the Holy Spirit who empowers us to live life according to the word of God. Let’s take a brief look at this awesome prayer that Paul prayed for all believers. It is God’s desire that we be filled with the knowledge of His will and that we have all spiritual wisdom and understanding. We do not have to live with doubts about God and His plans for us; we can have spiritual wisdom and understanding about the ways of God. God does not leave us as orphans, but has adopted us into His family and has made us heirs, and He reveals truth to us-we are ‘not in the dark’ any longer. God fills us with knowledge, spiritual wisdom and understanding for a purpose-that we may please Him in all respects and that we would bear good fruit in every good work. We do not have to ‘flounder’ in life-not knowing our purpose or being confused about life. It is God’s plan that we be strengthened with all power according to His might. He has made us sufficient for all situations and has made us overcomers in life; we do not have to live in defeat but can walk in victory no matter the circumstances. We can be steadfast and patient in place of inconstancy and impatience, and we can have joy in place of sadness, despair, and depression. When we understand what great things God has done on our behalf, we cannot help but joyously give thanks to Him. All of these blessing are ours because He has qualified us to share in His inheritance for all believers; we did not become qualified by our own effort. We can know and walk in these wonderful truths as a way of life, yet, there will likely be times when we seem to forget or lose sight of the life God has made available to us. Because of that possibility, we need to daily be nourished by His word and be renewed in our mind that we might live according to His plans and His design; we must daily set our mind on the things of God. Living according to the scriptures is not difficult; once we discover who we are in Him and who He is in us, and we come to know His love for us personally, we will find ourselves joyously walking in His ways.
Colossians 2:6-7 “As you have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, having been firmly rooted and now being built up in Him and established in your faith, just as you were instructed, and overflowing with gratitude.”

AND  LET

1/18/2021

January 18, 2021                                     AND  LET
Colossians 3:12-17 “And so, as those who have been chosen of God, holy and beloved, put on a heart of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience; bearing with one another; just as the Lord forgave you, so also should you. And beyond all these things, put on love, which is the perfect bond of unity. And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body, and be thankful. Let the word of Christ richly dwell within you, with all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another with psalm and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with thankfulness in your hearts to God. And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through Him to God the Father.”
Instructions to ‘let’ seems too simple and too naive; perhaps that is because it is human nature to work at whatever it is we want to get. In at least forty verses in the New Testament, we are told to ‘let.’ It is wonderful and liberating to discover that we can cease striving and simply let Christ have His way in us. When Christ is ruling in our hearts, His life and His ways become evident in us. To let does not imply that we should be disengaged or ‘happy go lucky’ in life; we are called to study His word and to grow in the Lord and to mature in the faith and to be engaged with other believers. We must learn the ways of the Lord in order to know what we can let rule in our hearts. God has worked in such a way and has made it possible for us to ‘put on’ His ways. To ‘put on’ implies that what we are putting on something that is not of our self, but something that is given by God; God offers it, but we must make the choice to put it on. To put on the ways of the Lord and to be a part of the body of Christ is the ultimate life-and it is ours to experience. (Note: being a part of the body is not always a ‘cake walk’. Issues and problems arise within the body, but God tells us how to deal with them in a way that bring unity and blessings to whole body.) There are a lot of good things we can put on, such as compassion, kindness, gentleness, humility, and peace, but the greatest thing to put on is love. The love we are to put on is not human love, but the love of God. When God’s love is operative in our hearts, we experience peace and we find ourselves blessing and encouraging others, and portraying the life of Christ. That’s what it is all about. God has made away and has called us to a life that is foreign to this world. We have been chosen of God and made His own, and He has equipped us and empowered us to live in a way that reflects His nature and in a way that pleases Him-and we are most blessed in the process. May we let the ways of Christ rule in us.
Ephesians 4:31-32 “Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.”
Philippians 2:5 “Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:”

GOD  HATH  NOT  GIVEN

January 15, 2021                                 GOD  HATH  NOT  GIVEN
2 Timothy 1:7 “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.”
Psalm 27:1 “The Lord is my light and my salvation-whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life-of whom shall I be afraid?”
1 John 4:18 “There is no fear in love, but perfect love cast out fear. For fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not been perfected in love.”
No doubt there are many things that can cause us to fear: sickness, death, loss of a job, worry about income, political unrest, crime, the well-being of our children, what the future may hold for us, broken relationships, being left alone---the list goes on. It seems that it is only natural to fear something. To live life with no fear in this upside-down world with all of its problems may sound like a ‘pipe-dream’-simply too good to be true. Fear takes a toll us; it robs us of joy, works against good relationships, and can have negative effects on our spiritual and physical health. If we believe what God has said in His word, then we have to conclude that we can indeed live life without fear. (Just for the record-whether we call it fear, anxiety, or ‘concern,’ it’s all the same.)  We constantly face circumstances and situations in life that test, or reveal, in whom or what we trust-where our trust lies. If we are honest, we will admit that we all too often find ourselves trusting in our own ability, our own strength, and our own determination to do whatever needs to be done-but yet, there remains an underlying fear. The first step in conquering fear is to realize that fear is not from God as we see in the verse above; God has given us a spirit of “power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” Even though God has given us these things, the problem is that they may not be experienced. When we are fearful, it is a good thing to let the fear we have prompt us to examine ourselves and determine where our trust lies. Also, as we see in 1 John above, if we are fearful, we have not “been perfected in love.” We may not understand it, but there is a connection between love and fear. It is amazing, but when we know and receive the love of God, we are set free from fear. That is true because we know that God is ruling, that He is near, that He causes all things to work together for our good, and that our eternal life with God is secure-and that nothing can separate us from His love. Even though we will face difficulties and have unanswered questions, we can put our absolute trust in the God who loves us and gave Himself for us. So---lighten up a bit-see life as a gift from God-be thankful-rejoice-have a little fun-enjoy your loved ones. Lay aside fear and put on confidence in God. Let us join with David and acknowledge that the Lord is the stronghold of our life.
1 Corinthians 16:13 “Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong.”
Isaiah 41:10 “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.”

PUTTING  TO  DEATH

1/11/2021

January 12, 2021                                     PUTTING  TO  DEATH
Romans 8:11-14 “But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who indwells you. So then, brethren, we are under obligation, not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh-for if you are living according to the flesh, you must die; but if by the Spirit you are putting to death the deeds of the body, you will live. For all who are being led by the Spirit of God, these are the sons of God.”
Colossians 3:12-14 “And so, as those who have been chosen of God, holy and beloved, put on a heart of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience; bearing with one another, and forgiving each other, whoever has a complaint against anyone; just as the Lord forgave you, so also should you.
We are all guilty of bad or unbecoming behavior as well as wrong thoughts. However, the hard truth is that we have no excuse; we may try to justify our bad behavior-but still, no excuse. The discussion today is not about us being ‘perfect’ or achieving sinless perfection, but about realizing that God has given us the power and the choice to lay aside what we need to lay aside and to ‘put on’ what we need to put on. That has huge implications for us. At times, there will temptations to do the wrong thing or to think the wrong thoughts-BUT we don’t have to go there. Realizing and actually laying aside what needs to be laid aside is liberating for us and those around us. We may excuse our bad behavior by saying that ‘That is just the way I am wired.’ Again, God has super-naturally worked in such a way in us that we are not who we use to be-we are NEW creations, and as His new creations, we do have the power to lay aside any remnants of the old self and we have the power to walk and live as new creations. Just as we put on and take off clothing, we can put off anything unlike Christ, and we can put on the things that are like Christ. How does this look practically? For examples: we can put off being short-tempered and can put on patience; in place of anger, we can be kind; instead of not forgiving, we can forgive; we can put off being anxious and put on hope and trust in God; instead of being argumentative, we can be a peace-maker-you get the point. It is a major spiritual breakthrough when we realize and embrace the fact that we are under obligation not to the flesh, but to the Holy Spirit who indwells us. This is major because the world system and the culture in which we live promote the idea of satisfying self-making self ‘happy.’ However, in God’s economy, we find what we long for and what satisfies, when we die to self-who we use to be-and put on the ways of the Lord. The good news is that God who raised Jesus from the dead will give life to our mortal bodies-it is awesome that the power of God is at work in our spirit, but also is at work in our mortal bodies! The bottom line is that we have been made new, and the Spirit of God is at work in us, enabling us to live in the nitty-gritty of life in a way that pleases Him. Let us lay aside what we need to lay aside, and put on Christ.
Romans 8:9 “However, you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. Now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not His.”

THE  SECRET

1/9/2021

January 9, 2021                                        THE  SECRET
John 14:21,23 “He who has My commandments and keeps them is the one who loves Me; and he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and will reveal Myself to him.”  “If a man love me, he will keep My words: and My Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.”
Proverbs 8:17 “I love those who love Me, and those who seek find Me.”
It is a two sided coin. In a general sense, God reveals Himself and makes Himself known to everyone everywhere. Also true, God hides Himself; it may seem that He is hard to find or to experience. It may sound reasonable, and it is a common perception, that if we keep His commandments and do the things He wants us to do, we will ‘find’ Him and He will be pleased with us. This perception leads to a spiritual roller-coaster ride and to discouragement because it is impossible for us by our own efforts and best intentions to keep the ways of God. Our journey with the Lord and our spiritual well-being must be grounded in love. We must understand that walking in the ways of the Lord and keeping His commandments and doing the things that please Him IS A RESULT OF loving Him. Our love for Him is evidenced by our thought life, our desire to know Him, our heart to know Him, and our actions. Only when He is our greatest desire will we discover Him in the more intimate ways. The wonderful, simplifying truth is that loving God results in a life pleasing to the Lord. It is only natural; when we love Him, we desire to do the things that please Him.  When we love Him, keeping His commandments is not burdensome or sacrificial, but rather a pleasure. All of His commandments are good and they lead to life. We also must know that we cannot take credit for loving Him because God first loved us and it is God who draws us to Himself. God demonstrated His love for us and opened to door for us to love Him. Human love fails; however, God has poured out His love into our hearts and now we can love Him, and others, with a God kind of love-a love that does not fail. When we love God, wonderful things happen; He reveals Himself to us and He and the Father make their abode with us. Wow! Loving God and having Him abode with us is the ultimate blessing in life; it brings peace, contentment, joy, and it is the power that make us overcomers in life. Letting us find Him, and having Him make His abode in us, does not mean that we will have no trials and difficulties in this life, but it does mean that we will know His comfort and His provision during such times.
1 John 4:16 “We know and have believed the love which God hath in us. God is love; and he that abideth in love abideth in God, and God abideth in him.”
Jeremiah 29:13 “And you will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart.”

WE  CAN  LAY  ASIDE

1/7/2021

January 6, 2021                                    WE  CAN  LAY  ASIDE
Ephesians 4:20-24, 31-32 “But you did not learn Christ in this way, if indeed you have heard Him and have been taught in Him, just as the truth is in Jesus, that, in reference to your former manner of life, you lay aside the old self, which is being corrupted in accordance with the lust of deceit, and that you be renewed in the spirit of your mind, and put on the new self, which in the likeness of God has been created in righteousness and holiness of the truth.”      “Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. And be kind to one another, tender-hearted, forgiving each other, just as God in Christ also has forgiven you.
Even as believers, we may believe that we are just the way we are. We may excuse our bad actions or our bad temperament as just being part of our natural make-up. However, the gospel of the kingdom of God is radical; according to the scriptures, we have the choice and the power to lay aside who we use to be-the old self! We are no longer limited to what is ‘natural.’ The interesting thing is that God does not ‘zap’ us and make us live in our newness; God has given us a part to play in our walking and living as new creations. The word of God is ‘high and lofty,’ but it also gets right down to the nitty-gritty of life-to life in the trenches. We have all experienced what it is like to be bitter, to have wrath, to be angry, to be critical, to be ill-natured, and etc. A prerequisite to laying the old things aside is that we must know and believe that God has made it possible for us to do so. A cornerstone of the gospel message is that God makes things new. We read in 2 Corinthians 5:17 “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.” The good news for us-and those around us-is that we do not have to have anger that erupts when certain things happen, or have malice and wrath, or be argumentative, ill-tempered, or any of the harmful ways that are unlike God. It is a miracle, but we can be kind to one another, tender-hearted, forgiving, peace-makers, ones who build up and encourage, compassionate, and be ones who exhibit the heart of God in all situations and circumstances. Laying the old things aside does not happen automatically; it involves ‘learning Christ’ as Paul said. We learn Christ by feeding on His word and turning our hearts and minds to Him, and seeking Him first. The wonderful promises of God in the scriptures are experienced by those who’s hearts or turned to Him and who seek Him first. Let us no longer live as who we use to be; let us live as those who have been made new, who reflect the character and the heart of our heavenly Father. We can reflect the light of God in any circumstance and in any situation.

Romans 6:4 “Therefore we have been buried with Him through baptism into death, so that as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we too might walk in newness of life.”

THE  FRUIT  OF  TRIBULATION

1/3/2021

January 3, 2021                                  THE  FRUIT  OF  TRIBULATION
Romans 5:1-5 “Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom also we have obtained our introduction by faith into this grace in which we stand; and we exult in hope of the glory of God. And not only this, but we exult in our tribulation, knowing that tribulation brings about perseverance; and perseverance, proven character; and proven character hope; and hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us.
No one in their right mind enjoys tribulation. However, we can gain certain benefits by going through tribulation and trials; knowing that going through tribulation produces good fruit does ease the pain. Once we understand and embrace the fact that tribulation produces good fruit in us, we can actually rejoice, or exult as Paul did, in our own tribulation. The definition of exult is: “feel or show triumphant elation or jubilation.” To exult in tribulation may sound like a stretch for us, but that can be the case when we focus more on what God is doing in us rather than focusing on the tribulation itself. This does not mean that we deny the pain of the tribulation that we may be enduring. God has compassion for us and comes to comfort us in our tribulations and difficulties. 2 Corinthians 1:3 tells us “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.” A key part of this process is that we receive comfort from God in the midst of our troubles. When tribulation comes, we have a choice to make; we can either go it alone or try to endure it ourselves, or we can express the pain and the heartache we have to our heavenly Father and pour our heart out to Him and receive His comfort. I have found that listening to worship music for extended periods of time and pouring my heart out to Him and confessing to Him that I have no hope apart from Him does indeed help. I find comfort when I yield every aspect of my life, every part of my being and every circumstance to God-including my health, my finances, my relationships, my finances, my future, and the well-being of those I love. This yielding everything to Him is part of the process of turning our hearts to Him-and that is what He wants. Another thing we must yield to Him is our trust; we must trust that whatever He does is right and good. It may be difficult for us, but we must give up on what we want Him to do or how we want Him to answer our prayer. Jesus suffered and endured hardship in this life, and so will we, but God will comfort us in such times when our heart is turned to Him.
1 Peter 5:6-7 “Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, so that He may exalt you at the proper time, having cast all your anxiety on Him, because He cares about you.”
Psalm 46:1 “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.”
Blessings,
Buddy
